Monument Restoration
Restoring fallen, broken, leaning, sunken and deteriorating monuments back to their original dignity — using approved conservation techniques for stone restoration for over three decades.
Preserving the Stories Carved in Stone
Monuments and grave markers are historic sculptures that record the history of the community. The weather, soil movement, accidents, vandalism, and time can cause monuments to lean, sink, fall, break, and get soiled. Texas Cemetery Restoration brings nearly 45 years of hands-on experience to every project, treating each monument with the care and respect it deserves.
We work with families, cemetery associations, historical societies, and municipalities to assess damage, develop a restoration plan, and execute the work using materials and methods approved by preservation standards.
Monument Restoration process:
1: Monument Assessment & Quoting
Every project begins with a thorough digital assessment of each monument's current condition, size, recommended restoration, and cost for each monument.
2: Leveling
Lifting the monument out of the ground and replacing the original foundation with a new one and resetting the monument making sure it is true and plumb
3: Restoration
Using approved preservation techniques to glue broken pieces together and reset the top on the base
4: Cleaning
Clean the entire monument by hand using D/2 Biological Solution, water, and soft bristle brushes.
5:Documentation of work
Document the completed work with a photo to provide the client with a before and after photo collage of the project.
